I could never express in words how much your Aunt Kaye meant to me. She embraced me as a 15-year-old girl and continued to throughout her life. Up to then I never had an aunt who remembered me on my birthday, let alone knew when it was. At 24 I sadly lost my own mother, but it was your Aunt Kaye and Uncle Allen who helped restore my equilibrium. I know I have shared this story many times, but when Danny was but a few weeks old and Michael had to leave town on a business trip (years before paternity leave), it was Aunt Kaye who felt my apprehension and invited me to stay over at their home. One evening she insisted I dine out with Uncle Allen, while she stayed behind to watch Danny. To this day that was one of the kindest gestures I have ever experienced. Aunt Kaye was always listening. Countless times I commented on items in her home and lo and behold they would make their way to me as a birthday gift, anniversary gift, etc. Aunt Kaye was always there for us, whether celebrating the milestones or holding our hands during some pretty tough losses. To this day, she has had the strongest influence on how we parented, how we entertain, how we have learned to turn the other cheek to keep family peace. She will be forever missed.

Countless memories and could write a book with them. What comes to mind now includes Christmas Eve Parties sometimes coinciding with Hanukkah Menorah lighting and celebration. Jews and Greeks intermingling as one. Kreplach making with Aunt Kaye boiling up to 500 of them. Always there when needed without ever being asked. Her special birthday message to me last January which I have saved and now forever. Her quiet dignity, refusing to complain since Uncle Allen passed and the few years before that which were very difficult for her. Her calling Debbie and me a few weeks ago to pick her up and drive her to a family funeral and Shiva we attended which gratefully allowed us to spend some time with her which was the last time we saw her. Aunt Kaye, you will be remembered and missed.

Hi Stephanie, Joe, & Andrew,
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember spending every holiday with your mom and dad and especially Christmas Eve along with Santa.
May you all find peace knowing that both of your parents are together again.
Love and comfort to all of you!
